Level: Beginner

Did you know that 86% of employees and managers consider the lack of effective collaboration to be a key factor in workplace failure? A recent study by Fierce, Inc., a business coaching company, highlights the importance of having a solid collaboration strategy.

86% of employees and managers consider the lack of effective collaboration to be a key factor in workplace failure.

– Fierce, Inc.

In fact, many organisations report that their growth is based on fostering collaboration and implementing agile methodologies.

If we list all the projects currently underway within an organisation, we will find that the vast majority involve the efforts of multiple people, departments and even GTMs.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT USING EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION TOOLS

Since collaboration is the backbone of an organisation’s success, when it fails, the impact is felt at all levels:

1. INDIVIDUAL LEVEL

It affects the productivity of everyone involved. How many times have departments been left waiting for a response from another department, effectively bringing them to a standstill?

2. ORGANISATIONAL LEVEL

The lack of effective collaboration can lead to a dysfunctional work culture: higher levels of frustration, high staff turnover and, externally, difficulty in attracting talent.

3. BRAND LEVEL

Depending on the severity of the problem, it can affect one or thousands of customers, impacting our NPS, customer churn and therefore all growth KPIs such as ROI.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION?

Don’t panic! As we always say, technology is on our side, and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) providers have already developed platforms to ensure collaboration and much more.

1. HAVING A SINGLE COMMUNICATIONS AND COLLABORATION SYSTEM

One of the biggest challenges facing businesses today is technological complexity. Having too many tools not only increases the toggle tax, but also becomes highly inefficient when paying for multiple licences when everything could be consolidated into a single programme.

This is where workspaces come in, such as the Enreach Contact virtual PBX, which combines telephony with the chat and video calling found in all collaboration programmes.

This setup allows us, for example, to call an external supplier while coordinating an emergency meeting with the team via video call and sharing important documents via chat, all without switching applications.

2. BREAK DOWN INFORMATION SILOS

Another major problem in organisations is that information is scattered across different tools.

For example, if a customer calls their account manager’s personal mobile phone to complain about an error on their last bill and the manager is unaware of the problem, integrations with other programmes such as CRMs allow them to instantly check the customer’s previous interactions with customer service or accounting.

While it’s usually the case that these departments will inform the account manager of such issues, there can be a breakdown in communication.

Therefore, the ability to integrate the communication history into the customer’s profile allows almost anyone in the company to quickly address an issue, preventing the customer from having to deal with multiple reps.

3. USE ANY DEVICE

In the past, work was associated with an office, a landline phone and a desktop computer. Today, work can be done in a coworking space with a laptop and a smartphone.

The rise of remote working, hybrid setups and business travel means we need to maintain the same level of productivity we had in traditional offices, but from anywhere.

By and large, this means having the same functionality and security levels across all devices. Imagine you’ve finished your day’s work and receive an emergency call from a supplier. Instead of losing or interrupting the call, you can seamlessly transfer it to your mobile device without any interruption or loss of quality.

ENREACH CONTACT: THE WORKSPACE THAT GOES WITH YOU

We want to show you how much your business could gain by unifying all your communication tools.

Enreach Contact is much more than a virtual PBX; we like to call it a workspace because it combines chat, video conferencing, telephony, integrations with Teams, Google and over 100 CRMs. It also lets you work from any device with native mobile integration, a mobile app, a desktop app and a desk phone.

Take your work with you wherever you go without sacrificing productivity.

Level: Beginner

Salespeople are still out on the road, prospecting or meeting with clients, but calls don’t stop when you’re on the road.

Even if there are colleagues manning the fixed positions in the office while you’re away, there’s a chance you’ll still get calls on your extension. This could be because your customers are calling you directly, or because all the salespeople in the office are busy.

With the effort required to convert leads into customers these days, missing out on these calls is a luxury you can’t afford. So the first thing you need to do to answer calls outside the office is to invest in a virtual PBX.

We know there are many IP PBX providers on the market. So first, make sure you have a clear understanding of what you need. Second, choose a solution that gives you the most flexibility.

Once you have your virtual PBX, here are some common solutions ranked by ease of implementation. Remember that you may have different levels of functionality depending on your provider’s limitations.

CONNECTING YOUR MOBILE PHONE TO THE PBX

There are several ways to connect company mobile phones to a PBX. The best option in terms of configuration and audio quality is one that turns your phone into just another extension.

If your operator offers this solution, simply insert a SIM card into the phone and you can start managing calls without relying on the internet or an app. All calls are logged in the PBX and can even be recorded and transcribed.

USE THE ENREACH CONTACT APP

If your current operator doesn’t allow you to connect to their switchboard on your mobile, you could consider subscribing to Enreach Contact.

By installing an app on your smartphone, you can make, receive and transfer calls to the switchboard directly from your mobile. The app also allows you to configure various advanced settings.

This tool also acts as an internal communication programme, allowing you to send messages, make video calls and share files, all from one platform.

USE A SOFTPHONE

Whether you’re visiting a client, working from home or in another city, you can use your laptop, mobile or tablet as if it were an fixed phone.

Using a programme called a softphone, you can manage all your calls as normal. Note that this alternative requires an Internet connection and the prior configuration of your virtual switchboard provider’s SIP credentials.

USE SMART ROUTING

Advanced PBXs can be configured to route calls to different devices depending on the availability of your extension.

So if you’re out of the office and your fixed line is inactive, the call can be routed to your mobile.

HARNESS THE POWER OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

If you have a customer database categorised into lists, you can program artificial intelligence to take specific actions based on the type of customer calling.

Once it has interacted with the customer and identified whether they are on a relevant list, it can route the call according to the pre-defined criteria.

FINAL THOUGHTS

There’s no denying that technology is on our side, giving us the freedom to work from anywhere without compromising our productivity.

If you have any doubts about which solution is best suited to your company’s needs, or if you would like more personalised advice, our experts are always available on 900 670 750 or in our chat below.

Geographic mobility at work and the commitment to a hybrid model is increasing in companies, as the number of employees who occasionally telework outside the office has multiplied by four this year since 2020, according to the INE. This trend underscores the growing need for unified, feature-rich communication tools that facilitate collaborative work.

In this context, Enreach, a European provider of convergent communications solutions for companies, has presented the latest update of Enreach Contact, a modern solution that revolutionizes the role of the Virtual PBX.

New Enreach Contact Features

The new Enreach Contact has become an indispensable tool for companies of all sizes and sectors to improve workflows, equipment performance and communication with customers and suppliers. This cutting-edge solution allows workers to connect effortlessly from the device of their choice, anytime, anywhere. Among the most notable improvements is the seamless native mobile integration, which allows users to receive calls without installing applications or having access to the Internet. Additionally, the new version offers solid integrations with Google, Teams and more than 100 CRMs; it features advanced call routing with unlimited configurations and its PBX function effectively manages large call volumes. Lastly, its revamped interface and user experience further increases ease of use.

In this way, Enreach Contact equips workers with a robust communications system adapted to the needs of companies, with the following functions:

Collaboration Chats: chat tools are a fundamental part of remote work by allowing the real-time exchange of messages, documents, images and videos. Workers can also forward calls and sync presence with Teams.

Telephony: another essential channel to communicate in daily work tasks, and which Enreach Contact has improved by offering advanced telephony functions on all devices. Employees even have the option to include mobile telephony and integrate into the same system with various data subscription levels.

Videoconferencing: to maintain the rhythm of day-to-day life and hold meetings that ensure the proper functioning of the team, Enreach Contact allows group video calls with people inside and outside the organisation.

Integrations: the solution allows you to import contacts from MS Office365 and Google Suite; use MS Teams users as another extension of the switchboard and connection with more than 100 different CRMs.

Reports and Analytics: To surpass the previous year’s results and improve team performance, Enreach Contact allows you to export call detail records (CDRs) and other relevant data for analysis in end systems. Furthermore, statistics on waiting queues are easily accessible.

Security: devices come equipped with encryption and authentication measures. The management of connection IPs, blocking calls to certain destinations and activating alarms due to excessive consumption are part of the security measures.

Much more than a Virtual PBX

“Enreach Contact is much more than a Virtual PBX. We call it workspace because it allows employees to do their work with the same performance as in the office, regardless of their location around the world. If teams can communicate internally and externally from the same workspace, they have no limitations. Streamlining workflows, in terms of collaboration or customer service, means saving resources and, above all, time. We cannot imagine a better value proposition,” explains Carlos Jiménez, Commercial Director of Enreach.

We are practically knocking on the doors of “year 2” since the start of the pandemic. And it is now when it seems that certain routines and habits that we adopt (in many cases, forced by the situation) have come to stay. At least to a large extent. One of them is teleworking or remote work. A way of working that moved our company office space to the homes of employees.

Two years later, the classic model of office hours has disappeared in the vast majority of cases. The pandemic, the digital transformation and the demand of workers to reconcile work and personal life has led to more flexible hours and a hybrid work model in the contact center.

What Is Hybrid Work in the Contact Center?

The American consultancy Gartner defines hybrid work as that strategic work model in which employees and managers can “flow through” locations (the office, home or any other place), thus boosting employee productivity and commitment and reducing the usual burnout syndrome.

A hybrid job that does not affect the call center service at all, quite the opposite: digitization in what is known as the ‘Phygital Era’ (combination of the physical or offline world and the digital or online environment) and, above all, good contact center software allows agents to offer excellent customer service without affecting CX.

We must not confuse hybrid work with flexible hours. “Flexible hours” is more about allowing employees to tailor their work schedule to their personal needs.

What Are the Benefits?

Implementing hybrid work in a contact center has many benefits for both customers and the company:

Customer experience: motivated and happy agents do their job better, having a positive impact on the customer experience (CX) and on the purchase of the products or services offered.

Greater availability: when human resources managers allow an employee to work in a hybrid way, they are favoring a greater availability of agents, so that it is much easier to cover possible absenteeism, employ them in a more specialized way and satisfy the different needs that they can arise unexpectedly.

Reduce sick leave due to stress: burnout syndrome.

Commitment to the environment: at a time clearly marked by a commitment to sustainability, a call center that helps reduce pollution (when it comes to travel) will always be well received by potential customers.

Challenges of Hybrid Work in the Contact Center

While it is true that hybrid work has many benefits when it comes to managing customer service, there are also different challenges when it comes to working so that the level of service is not affected. In this post we have analyzed some of the keys to managing agents remotely:

Relations between workers: Hybrid work means that contact between workers is not as regular, direct and personal as it used to be.

Team management: very much in line with the previous point and quite a challenge for contact centers (especially at a time when the call center is multigenerational, that is, different generations coexist with their concerns, personalities and concerns).

Technology: provide agents with the necessary tools so that they can handle incoming calls, social networks, live chat, email and other channels with guarantees. With good organization and good call center software, it can be resolved quickly.

The benefits of agent engagement are obvious to any call center supervisor. Agents who are committed align their personal goals with those of the company they work for and strive to do an excellent job, because it makes them feel good to achieve the goals that have been proposed to them.

They perform better and treat customers better. Engaged agents stay in your workplace longer, which improves your bottom line along with your customer experiences (CX).

What Are the 9 Best Practices for Engaged Agents?

1) Use the Golden Rule

Treat your employees as you would treat your customers, that is, with respect and empathy.

2) Be Proactive

Focus on agent retention rather than agent recruitment. To do this, we must focus on retaining talent instead of looking for new ones.

3) Encourage Two-Way Communication between Supervisor and Agents

Call centers must provide the appropriate tools so that agents can carry out their work correctly, provide feedback to their supervisors and thus know what needs to be improved.

4) Offer the Opportunity to Grow Professionally in the Company

Agents need to see that their professional development and growth is possible. In this sense, it is very motivating to offer them more options than just becoming a contact center supervisor. They may also be offered to be a Quality Management (QM) Specialist, Workforce Manager (WFM), Artificial Intelligence Specialist, or Robotic Process Expert, among others.

5) Facilitate Multiple Work Tools for Hybrid Environments

That is, allow agents to work in the office, remotely with products such as Enreach Contact or offer them the possibility of working in a hybrid environment.

6) Provide Flexible Scheduling Options

With remote work the new norm, agents want the flexibility to schedule shifts according to their needs.

7) Build a Corporate Culture Dedicated To Ongoing Two-Way Communication and Training

It is a mistake to monitor agents and only give them negative feedback. Rather, reviews should be presented as personalized training, to show that the supervisor and agent are on the same team to help them achieve their KPIs.

8) Provide Access to Personal Performance Metrics

You need to allow agents to view their performance metrics, just like supervisors do. Transparency builds trust and gives them the visibility to identify their areas for improvement.

9) Give Timely and Meaningful Recognition and Rewards

Recognition for a job well done raises morale not only for the recipient, but for the entire call center.

It is important to note that most of these points require empathy and emotional intelligence from supervisors and managers, while others can be optimally facilitated with the right technology solution. For example, tools to help make performance data visible to agents, notifying supervisors which agents need training on what, and providing gamification to develop a healthy sense of competition among agents to improve their performance.

In conclusion, contact centers provide some of the information that can improve the effectiveness of the organization by monitoring and enhancing the development and commitment of employees to help meet company objectives. Why? Because when employees are more engaged, they feel more empowered, they are more likely to achieve their strategic goals. And that’s when you see the growth and positive KPIs on a larger scale.

High turnover is a pain point for call centers. Although this did not increase notably in contact centers during “The Great Renunciation” (rates have remained stable at 42% per year, according to the WEM 2022 Global Survey), it is estimated that customer service centers spend an average of 13 weeks onboarding a new employee, at a cost of $12,500 per new employee.

Despite the high rate and cost of employee attrition, 36% of respondents to the 2022 WEM Global Survey say their organization is investing little or no effort in retention. To reduce job resignations, call center leaders report that they focus primarily on team building initiatives, while the survey continues to show that what has the greatest impact for the agent is better compensation, a clear plan for the career growth and more flexible scheduling options.

In this environment, schedule flexibility becomes an important differentiator. In fact, across all industries, employees who don’t have enough flexibility are four times less likely to become a retention risk, according to a report from Quantum Workplace. And retention, of course, is tied to higher-performing agents and higher customer satisfaction ratings.

How To Favor The Schedule Flexbility Of The Agents Of A Call Center?

While flexible scheduling is a cost-effective method of attracting and retaining talent, it has traditionally not been feasible to allow agents to choose their schedules, especially if they don’t align with business needs. Also, the fact is that not all employees are going to know in January what they will want or need from a scheduling and revenue standpoint in October, for example.

Many well-intentioned call centers have attempted to rely solely on agent preference programming practices. However, if not considered against a myriad of other factors and backed up with a flexible scheduling tool, agent preference alone can do more harm than good.

The Importance Of Workforce Management (WFM)

While there is no “perfect” contact center schedule, features like Workforce Management (WFM) can help. For example, by assigning availability points, supervisors define each day’s interval with a unique numerical value and set rules that agents must meet to complete their availability. This may include:

Require approval if availability does not meet all rules.

Require a minimum amount of available time.

Require a minimum number of points each week.

Require a minimum number of hours and/or days per week.

Rules are defined by the agent data value and all rules are optional. Once the parameters are established, the agent must provide its availability according to the rules of the business. In this way, availability points gamify the scheduling process and encourage agents to commit to their availability based on business needs. This drives engagement while providing opportunities to further reduce absenteeism.

As “The Great Resignation” continues to challenge hiring managers and work environments evolve with the adoption of new hybrid models, call center leaders should listen to three out of four agents who cite flextime as a employment requirement.

In this sense, solutions like Enreach Contact make flexible hours a reality while meeting the needs of business staff and increasing both employee engagement and customer experience (CX). Therefore, leaders who innovate in the flexible scheduling space will establish a valuable differentiator in the ongoing fight for agent retention.

What is “The Great Resignation”?

The Great Resignation, a term coined in May 2021, describes the record number of people who have left their jobs since the start of the pandemic. After an extended period of working from home without commuting, many people have decided that work-life balance has become more important to them.

This revolution in the world of work appears to be continuing apace, with one in five workers globally planning to quit by 2022. That’s the key finding of consultancy PwC’s Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey over 52,000 workers in 44 countries and territories conducted in March 2022. Says unsurprisingly, pay is the number one factor in people wanting to change jobs, with 71% citing it as a key reason.

The COVID-19 pandemic rapidly changed the way society viewed the workplace. In the call center environment, the adoption of remote work has resulted in a change in the work-life balance of employees.

While most of the world is back to normal, remote workers are resisting going back to the office. Gallup research shows that nine in 10 remote-capable employees prefer the flexibility of remote work in the future, and six in 10 indicate that they expect their company to adopt a hybrid work model.

Although agents prefer remote or hybrid work environments, they make workforce management increasingly difficult for contact center leadership. In addition, they demand a renewed focus on corporate culture and a new generation of tools to do their jobs and empower greater employee responsibility and autonomy.

What Are The First Three Steps For Call Center Leaders Looking To Upgrade or Establish a Hybrid Work Model?

1) Optimize Employee Face-To-Face Time

Connecting people must become a core capability of contact centers. This includes everything from hosting in-office events to personalized agent training.

Consider adopting tools that enable flexible, rotating scheduling where contact center leaders can create and apply rules to agent shifts from week to week. An agent assigned to a weekly rotating rule could get a different type of schedule each week, rotating between day and night shifts or between four and five day workweeks, all optimized to generate a higher ROI from working hours in the office.

As opportunities arise within a weekly, or even daily, schedule, call center leaders need to be able to make changes to schedules in real time to reassign staff and optimize time. Solutions such as Enreach Contact allow contact center leaders to guarantee remote work with options that adapt to all types of companies and budgets. In this way, employees can work from any place and device; communicate internally and externally by voice, chat and video through the WebRTC SoftPhone, the mobile APP and wireless or desktop IP terminals.

2) Maintain Agent Performance

In hybrid work environments, results become the true indicator of accountability. This represents an opportunity for the business, but only if performance results and metrics and targets are clearly defined and communicated.

Communications should be personalized by audience type (agent, supervisor, or administrator) with push notifications designed to signal key performance metrics (KPIs).

From there, allowing agents to take corrective action independently is an important element in building accountability. Solutions such as EEM alerts can be customized to enable continuous performance improvement, regardless of where the agent and their supervisor are physically working.

3) Strengthen The Autonomy Of Agents

In the call center environment, agent autonomy is essential. In fact, it has been shown to increase job satisfaction, foster employee engagement and drive innovation. Realizing the value of autonomy while maintaining or improving performance requires a solution to analyze staffing, identify shift change opportunities, communicate with agents, and implement intraday scheduling reviews.

From there, allowing agents to take corrective action independently is an important element in building accountability. Solutions such as EEM alerts can be customized to enable continuous performance improvement, regardless of where the agent and their supervisor are physically working.

According to a recent Gallup survey, 42% of employees have adopted a hybrid schedule and approximately 53% of them expect to do so in the future. Smart contact centers will seize this opportunity to redefine high performance and establish the protocols and resources to capture greater value through employee empowerment and responsibility.

The whole world changed with the move to remote and hybrid work. Companies have had to reassess what the workplace looks like outside of the office and are still learning what works best for them and which model best suits their needs.

To get employee feedback, Owl Labs partnered with Vitreous World to survey 10,000 workers across Europe. The objective of the study was to delve into how European employees feel about the hybrid and remote model, their new behaviors and expectations in the workplace, and how organizations are adapting to these new demands.

5 Key Points of the State of Hybrid Work in 2022 in Europe

1) A Third (31%) of European Employees Have Changed Jobs in the Last Two Years

Of the workers who did not change jobs at the start of the pandemic, 21% are actively looking for a new opportunity in 2022. The average job tenure in the EU is 9.8 years, and major changes in workplace culture work can shorten it. For this reason, companies that want to retain their employees must adapt to their needs.

2) 76% of European Employees Are Concerned that Their Company Will Take Actions in the Workplace that They Do Not Agree With

When it comes to hybrid work, the change is more pronounced than ever. Workers seek to prioritize their health, their family environment and their happiness, and they worry that their company will make decisions regarding the implemented work model that interfere with those priorities. They want to make sure their comments are heard.

Managers can demonstrate active listening by enacting workplace policies suggested by employees. That may mean allowing flexible policies or tailoring office space based on employee needs.

3) Main Benefits that Would Convince European Employees to Stay with Their Current Company: Flexible Work Schedules (36%) and 4-Day Work Week (36%)

In a hybrid work world, employees want the flexibility and autonomy to organize their time. This factor is different for every business and industry, so leaders must consider the entire organization when developing these policies.

4) 94% of European Employees Think that Managers Should Take Steps to Ensure Their Satisfaction

Not surprisingly, workers want to be happy. They also want to help shape the workplace where they spend most of their time. And they want their managers to take action, considering restructuring their benefits or implementing flexible hours.

5) 23% of European Employees Are Concerned that Their Company Is Not Adapting Their Current Offices to Better Accommodate Hybrid Work or Provide the Right Technology

If offices are not prepared to adapt to a hybrid model, companies will lose great talent. Employees worry that they do not have collaborative tools to communicate with their colleagues or the right technology to be able to access all the data and carry out their daily tasks as if they were working in the office.

Hybrid Work Is Here to Stay

The key takeaway from the study is that hybrid work is now the norm and that flexibility is fast becoming a goal. Over the past 2 years, employees around the world have adapted to a work-from-anywhere lifestyle and expect flexibility when it comes to where and, increasingly, when they work.

Likewise, workers want company managers to listen, care and adapt to their new needs and expectations in the workplace. Thus, for the 52% of employees who have changed jobs or are actively looking to do so, flexible work across location and hours is their top priority.

The pandemic forced a remote work experiment that affected workers around the world and showed us a few things. But now, workers are deciding for themselves how they want to work. Many have found that with a laptop, Internet connection, collaborative tools, and email, they can be productive from anywhere, not just in the office.

What we have so far referred to, as the “future of work” is fast becoming the present. Learning from what works and what doesn’t, we currently have a mix of remote workers, office workers, and some who work from home and also go in person to the company.

It is this combination of personnel that makes up the new term, hybrid workforce.

But unlike a “standard worker”, a call center agent has a unique role where working from anywhere other than the standard location can be difficult without the right tools.

Running a contact center in the hybrid work environment is a challenge for which cloud technology has solutions.

What Are the Cultural Challenges of a Hybrid Call Center?

Cultural challenges are what people worry about. Whether it’s an agent-supervisor relationship or the approach to dealing with impatient customers.

To deliver the same (or better) customer experience (CX), differences in how teams work as work styles and locations change need to be identified.

5 Challenges to Consider when Implementing a Hybrid Call Center

1) Ask for Help

When employees are together in an office, a tap on the shoulder or a wave of the hand is the simplest process to ask for help, since a colleague or a supervisor can approach them to solve their query.

However, it must be considered that, when this happens, there is an agent who has been interrupted and who has to stop answering calls or doing administrative work if they are helping a colleague. This can become a red flag if an employee makes it a routine to ask for help instead of learning.

It’s not that agents shouldn’t ask for help. But even when working across multiple locations, technology can help create a formal and productive process for getting help with an upset customer or technical query.

Solution? The cloud PBX allows you to work and collaborate without limits through collaborative tools such as Enreach Contact, which facilitate remote work and adapt to all types of companies and budgets. Thanks to it, agents can work from any place and device; communicate internally and externally by voice, chat and video through WebRTC technology, mobile apps and wireless or desktop IP terminals.

2) Escalate Queries

Just because agents are in another location doesn’t mean they’re on their own to handle the most complex queries. For example, when a customer demands to speak to a supervisor, he can do so thanks to the cloud PBX, since they can see which supervisors are available and transfer the call.

Also, instead of asking customers to explain their query over and over again, the history of interactions can be accessed thanks to omnichannel.

So, whether the user first contacted the call center by phone, WebChat, or email, everything is recorded so the supervisor is quickly up to speed.

3) Stay Competitive

In sales environments, competition drives better performance. How can you ensure this continues in a hybrid workforce?

By enabling gamification components in the cloud contact center, you can turn work into a competition through leaderboards, prizes, training, and even promotions and bonuses at the top level.

Outside of sales, agents have visibility into personal and group metrics like incoming calls, outgoing calls, and talk time.

Metrics like these are included regardless of working in the office, at home, or both.

4) Boost Morale

When an agent has a bad call, there’s nothing better than letting off steam. But when he is telecommuting, no one can see that he needs a minute. That doesn’t mean you can’t take a moment and take a deep breath. All agents need to do is put themselves in termination mode or log out of the queue to avoid receiving new calls while they need to calm down.

Gamification techniques can also be used to keep all employees engaged and organize virtual events to hold a meeting at the end of the day. Additionally, team trainings can be arranged for agents who don’t come to the office every day.

5) Avoid Burnout

Like any type of employee, telecommuters or hybrid employees are susceptible to burnout and fatigue.

When working from home for the first time, it’s easy to slip into work mode for longer than in the office.

For this reason, agents must be encouraged and supervised so that they do not acquire bad habits and burn out, with tips such as the following:

Play soft music (at a volume customers can’t hear) so you don’t feel lonely.

Take the same time for breakfast as in the office.

Get up from the desk from time to time.

Change your location in the home (if possible).

Talk to a colleague often through an employee chat.

In a hybrid work environment, it’s important to reserve office days for training, important announcements, and teamwork. It is also necessary to ensure that agents’ work environments are productive so that there is no additional stress from trivial elements.
