{"id":46299,"date":"2023-12-05T10:01:31","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T09:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enreach.es\/?p=46299"},"modified":"2023-12-05T10:19:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T09:19:57","slug":"somos-referentes-en-metodologia-agile-en-espana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/enreach.es\/en\/blog\/somos-referentes-en-metodologia-agile-en-espana\/","title":{"rendered":"We are leaders in Agile methodology in Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last week we had the honour of being presented as a&nbsp;<strong>SmartWay success story<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cas.agile-spain.org\/\">CAS 2023<\/a>, the largest Agility conference in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>WHAT IS AGILE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Agile is the&nbsp;<strong>ability to adapt to change<\/strong>; it&#8217;s a mindset, it&#8217;s about creation. Agile enables&nbsp;<strong>organisations to face the VUCA environments<\/strong>&nbsp;we live in. It emerged in the 2000s as a more flexible and collaborative approach to project management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its popularisation is attributed to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/agilemanifesto.org\/\">Agile Manifesto<\/a>, a set of principles established\u00a0<strong>by a group of software developers in 2001<\/strong>. Individuals such as Jeff Sutherland, Ken Schwaber, Kent Beck and others advocated a shift to more agile methods that value\u00a0<strong>direct communication<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>adaptability<\/strong>\u00a0and the <strong>continuous delivery<\/strong>\u00a0of operational software releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>HOW DOES &#8216;AGILITY&#8217; HELP BUSINESSES?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In today&#8217;s market, where the ability to&nbsp;<strong>adapt quickly to market changes<\/strong>&nbsp;is critical to business resilience, the adoption of agility is the difference between success and failure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading organisations need to&nbsp;<strong>adopt innovative methodologies<\/strong>&nbsp;that enable them to continue to differentiate themselves from the competition and deliver modern solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the agile culture has been established abroad for some time, Spain&nbsp;<strong>still has a long way to go<\/strong>. According to the latest BACometer from the Business Agility Corporation, only&nbsp;<strong>20% of Spanish companies default to using this methodology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-d6bd55af1e33b4cb1b6405bbadd76e0b\" style=\"color:#7a17f8;font-style:italic;font-weight:100\">&#8220;Only 20% of Spanish companies use this methodology by default&#8221;.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies that decide to adopt this methodology must undergo a complete transformation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Culturally<\/strong>, by encouraging collaboration and autonomy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organisationally<\/strong>, with flatter and more horizontal structures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business-wise<\/strong>, aligning business and technology (OKRs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Developmentally<\/strong>, increasing the speed and frequency of product\/service improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In terms of<strong>&nbsp;customer relations,&nbsp;<\/strong>customers are directly involved in development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Product management<\/strong>, creating minimum viable products (MVPs) for early feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technologically<\/strong>, by implementing collaborative and agile work management tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And in terms of&nbsp;<strong>measurement and metrics<\/strong>, choosing new KPIs to measure value delivery and customer satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>WHY ARE WE AN AGILE LEADER?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alejandro Vega, our Scrum Master, and Alberto Arroyo, Agile Consultant at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/smartway.es\/\">SmartWay<\/a>, have been driving <strong>cultural and digital transformation<\/strong>&nbsp;in our Barcelona offices for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recognition of their work, last week Alberto had the opportunity to&nbsp;<strong>share our success story&nbsp;<\/strong>with CAS 2023 attendees and provide guidance for organisations looking to&nbsp;<strong>align technology and business within an agile framework<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His presentation focused on how companies can improve\u00a0<strong>cross-functional communication<\/strong>\u00a0and deliver <strong>the best product to users<\/strong>\u00a0by unifying requirements and visualising workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By focusing on teamwork, we have been able to&nbsp;<strong>incorporate our customers&#8217; needs into our solutions<\/strong>. The result?
