FREE OR PAID TEAMS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The free version of Teams <strong>does not allow<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Group meetings<\/strong> (more than two people) longer than <strong>60 minutes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Native meeting recordings<\/strong> (only possible using third-party tools)<\/li>\n<li><strong>User permissions control<\/strong> (e.g. managing who can share their screen)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Calls<\/strong> to landlines or mobile phones outside your organisation<\/li>\n<li><strong>Integration<\/strong> with some tools (e.g. Dynamics 365, Salesforce and other advanced CRMs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s also <strong>less secure<\/strong>, as it doesn\u2019t support two-factor authentication or Single Sign-On (SSO). And most importantly, it doesn\u2019t include priority tech support or IT assistance.<\/p>\n<p>If any of these features are critical for your business, check out <a href=\"#centralita_virtual_estabilidad\">section 3 of this article<\/a> for your best options to continue making group video calls and phone calls from Teams.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.2 SIGNING INTO TEAMS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re already a Skype user, <strong>you don\u2019t need to create a new Teams account<\/strong>. Just sign in with the email address you used for Skype and your data will transfer automatically.<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t remember which email you used for Skype, go to &#8220;<em>Account and Profile<\/em>&#8221; and check the &#8220;<em>Email Address<\/em>&#8221; section.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.3 WHAT DATA WILL (AND WON\u2019T) BE MIGRATED<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Microsoft has confirmed that if you follow the steps correctly, you\u2019ll see <strong>all your contacts<\/strong> and <strong>your entire chat history<\/strong> in Teams.<\/p>\n<p>However, they also note that the following <strong>won\u2019t be migrated<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Private conversations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-sent chats<\/strong> (messages to yourself)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bot and Copilot content<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You\u2019ll have until <strong>January 2026<\/strong> to export any information you want to keep from these chats or bots.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"riesgos_telefonia\"><strong>2. WHAT TO DO ABOUT TELEPHONY: DON\u2019T GET CAUGHT SHORT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As mentioned earlier, the free version of Teams <strong>does not include telephony<\/strong>.
