1st Edition of the Masvoz Journalism and Telecommunications Prize

Masvoz (www.masvoz.es), a telecommunications operator that specialises in cloud-based services for companies, wishes to reward the endeavours of all journalists that, through their hard work, contribute on a daily basis towards bringing our society closer to the realities of modern technology. Therefore, with the aim of supporting and encouraging the dissemination of knowledge in the field of telecommunications, the First Edition of the Masvoz Journalism and Telecommunications Prize has been announced.

All pieces of journalistic work, published in any of the official State languages between 1 September 2012 and 30 August 2013, shall be eligible for the Prize. Pieces published in printed media, audio-visual media, or in electronic form, with a focus on telecommunications, shall be accepted.

The winning piece will receive a prize of €1,000, which shall be awarded by a jury made up of professionals from inside the company, and the journalism and telecommunications sectors. When making its decision, the jury shall consider factors such as the quality of information, the reliability and the range of sources used, the originality of the piece’s focus, the level of social interest, and the difficulty of preparing the piece.

Any piece wishing to enter the competition must be submitted by 30 August 2013 in electronic form by emailing comunicacion@masvoz.es, or by mail to the Masvoz Communications Department (Departamento de Comunicación de Masvoz, MASVOZ – Vía Augusta, 59. 08006 Barcelona).
