What's a PBX?
A PBX is a tool that manages a company’s telephony to ensure that each employee has a phone line through an extension. It also handles incoming calls to determine what to do with them based on various criteria such as time of day, day of week, reason for the call or the number being called. It automatically determines how and who should handle each call.
What kind of equipment can I use with the Enreach Contact PBX?
The most common way is to use the desktop app on your computer and the iOS and Android apps on your smartphone. This way, all you need is an Internet connection and a computer or smartphone.
Another option is to use IP phones. Contact us to find out about the desktop and wireless models available.
You can also use mobile lines natively.
What do I need to start using the Enreach Contact PBX?
The only requirement is that you have equipment to make and receive calls from the switchboard, which could be:
- Computers with internet connection, microphone and speakers.
Mobile phones transferred to Enreach or new subscriptions to Enreach.
Can I answer calls from my mobile?
Yes, mobile phones are seamlessly integrated into the virtual PBX and act as another extension.
This means that your mobile phone can be queued within the switchboard, calls can be transferred to you, or your extension can be dialled when someone calls the switchboard and you will receive the call on your mobile phone, just as if someone was calling your mobile number.
