The global market of the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) has continued growing in 2015, and forecasts show this trend will go on over the next years. Different studies published during the last year confirm this forecast, with double-digit growth -although figures are not always in line with each other-.
Last November, MRRSE (Market Research Reports Search Engine) estimated the UCaaS market in over 6,000 million, but most importantly, it offered predictions for the coming years, with surprising rates. According to the market research company, UCaaS market will grow at an annual rate of 23.4 % (compound growth rate ) until 2022.
This percentage is clearly higher to others – Market Reports Hub‘s report, for example, predicts a 10.5 % growth -. Other studies speculate with even more spectacular amounts. The report tittled “Unified Communication as a service (UCaaS) Market”, by Markets and Markets, predicts a turnover of 23.34 billion for 2019. To correctly interpret this provision, we must have in mind that Markets & Markets takes as starting point global revenues for the market valued in 13.1 billion -twice MRRSE’s figures-.
Europe’s figures confirm that the rise of UCaaS is a global phenomenon. This was stated at a study by IDC, published at the end of 2014, wich focused on Western Europe. According to this report, the amount of business in the continent would increase from 84.6 million dollars in 2013 to 643,7 million in 2018, with a compound growth rate (CAGR) of 50.1%.
