Unified communications in the cloud, increasingly demanded

All companies, without exception, seek the goal of improving their businesses while reducing costs. In the digital age, this is to improve their communication and collaboration capabilities. And to this need, cloud-based communications solutions are emerging as the most effective and efficient alternative. The data speak for themselves. According to the latest report published by Gartner entitled “Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide” at the end of August, the main UCaaS providers on a worldwide basis are experiencing a steady growth of its revenues between 25 and 30%.

Daniel O’Connell and Bern Elliot, Gartner analysts, point out that “UCaaS is now a viable alternative for many companies.”

What is occurring background is a change in what people are looking for in communications; while facing legacy applications, also observe the new collaboration tools, messaging, video… The idea is to find the best possible way to move all the cloud and thus “provide a better experience to end users” said Steve Kokonis, CEO of Fuze. According to analysts responsible for this report from Gartner, UCaaS providers must address four fundamental pillars to achieve a responsible business communications:

  • Expand your capacity.
  • Improve the customer and project management service.
  • Develop and strengthen a comprehensive set of APIs.
  • Routing functionality of unified communications to mobility and video communications.

All this, combined with aspects such as operational scalability of cloud-based services, and improving the offer by suppliers, will allow any company, regardless of size, find the communications solution suitable to their needs and interests.
