This report also reveals the different factors customers are aware of when acquiring Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions (UCC), while providing insight into how providers can make use of the APIs and hybrid architectures with the goal of attracting customers and increase their market share.

The changes described in the report are driven by the increased demand for customized solutions that are seamlessly integrated with third-party business software, not to mention the important role of innovation in cloud communications that is making it easier for suppliers expand their catalogs of services.

In this regard, Frost & Sullivan’s Digital Transformation analyst Robert Arnold has stated that “the portfolios of diversified solutions and more holistic approaches are a necessity to support business transformation, but at the same time, maintaining core competencies is the key to success. Mobility, device independence, social capabilities, mashups and personalization will be significant elements of cloud communications solutions of the future.”

Among the main challenges faced by companies operating in the UCC sector, the report points to the acceleration of innovation and the escalation of competitiveness, with multiple price levels, functionalities and business models.

The report concludes that providers will have to address these challenges by paying more attention to deployment flexibility, high quality and the integration of workflows with UCCs. All in all, it will provide a better return on investment thanks to uninterrupted productivity, agility of business operations and greater efficiency of performance.
