As every year, the prestigious publication Forbes has released a new study about the main trends in the workplace that will break out with greater force throughout the new year 2018 that is about to kick off.
Dan Schawbel has been in charge of forecasting these trends based on the data obtained from hundreds of conversations with workers and executives, global surveys to dozens of companies from different sectors, as well as more than 450 different research sources among which there are universities, consultancies, non-profit organizations, commercial associations, companies and government agencies, among others.

- The design of the workspaces will be conditioned by the human interactions among the employees, which will be encouraged by the business leaders.
- The acquisition and development of the most appropriate knowledge and skills will live a new impulse and every time the educational offer will be more important in quantity and quality, with numerous courses, programs and certifications that guarantee companies have the best talent. According to IBM, the best-trained teams not only save costs for companies, but also increase their productivity.
- The integration of artificial intelligence in workspaces will be intensified through new devices and services, with special attention to chatbots, used as personal virtual assistants for data collection, information retrieval and optimization of the customer service.
- With new technologies, employees devote more time than before to work responsibilities without additional compensation, which generates a degree of fatigue and stress that results in a decrease in productivity. In order to avoid the exhaustion of workers, companies will increasingly focus on designing and making available to their workforce wellness and flexibility programs that allow employees to take a break and stay healthy.
