Current workers, and especially those who are now incorporating themselves as a new workforce, demand integral mobility strategies in companies that allow them to benefit from the advantages of new technologies and connectivity.
Thus, more and more new digital companies, from all sectors and all sizes that integrate mobility as a key pillar of their business strategy.
This is a constant trend over the last few years and for the fourth consecutive year confirms the study “Executive Enterprise Mobility Report” prepared by Apperian and CITO Research from the responses of more than a hundred mobility professionals from a dozen different industries around the world, combined with Apperian’s huge database of nearly three million mobile applications.
All this information has served as a basis for determining and examining the main current trends in mobility, as well as the main factors driving its continued growth.
However, the adoption of mobility solutions as an integral part of broader strategies of digital transformation is a process that has not yet concluded, and which evolves along with the technological evolution itself and society itself. That is why the most important value of this work lies precisely in the final part where, based on the analysis of the available data, a series of key recommendations to expand and optimize mobility plans in companies are concluded:
- It is time to take advantage of what has been learned, that is, to try to obtain a greater benefit by taking advantage of the techniques of using mobile applications that have already proven their effectiveness.
- Companies should determine the degree of penetration of their applications, as they can only offer maximum value when they reach all those who can benefit from them.
- Involve users in the development of mobile applications by providing RMAD tools, monitoring application adoption, analyzing usage rates, determining where further promotion and education are needed, etc., in order to avoid the so-called “bottleneck” of IT.
- Maximize flexibility by allowing or even encouraging employees to use preferred mobile devices (BYOD) while guaranteeing security at the application level and protecting the most valuable, corporate data.
- Create teams specialized in mobility in organizations able to efficiently coordinate ideas and strategies while learning from valuable feedback.
